Key Amendment in Pension Rules
According to the notification:
A family pension sanctioned under this rule will remain admissible to the spouse for life or until re-marriage
In cases where a Government Servant had more than one wife, the family pension will be divided equally among the widows.
This replaces the existing Rule 4.10(1).

The amendment will officially come into force from 02-12-2024.
